Find the area of the irregular figure (use 3.14 for pi). SHow your work. Round to the nearest tenth.

Triangle with a semi-circle on it. The triangles height is 4.8ft and the circle's diameter is 3.6ft.
Every time I do my work I keep getting 12.3 and I have no clue if I'm doing anything wrong

Well the area formula for a triangle is A=bh/2 plus the area of the semi circle which is A=3.14r^{2}/2
3.6 divided by 2
1.8

3.14x1.8x1.8
10.2

10.2 divided by 2
5.1

1/2 4.8x5.1
2 divided by 24.5
12.3

the triangle is ... 1/2 b h = 1/2 * 3.6 * 4.8

the semi-circle is ... 1/2 π r^2 = 1/2 * 3.14 * 1.8^2
So it would be 12.2?
What you do is 4.8*3.6=A then divide your answer in half which is the area of the triangle than to find the area of the semi circle you do 3.14*1.8^{2}=A then divide that in half than add the two together then round to the nearest tenth.

You then have to round 12.2 to the nearest 10th, which would end up being 13.7

If any of yall get 13.72 the answer will still be 13.7 because it is not 5 and over so you round down the same with 13.73 it is not 5 and over so you round down.
