Find and Simplify.

f(x) = 5 − x^2
a)f(x + h) − f(x)
b)(f(x + h) − f(x))/h

a) I got 2xh+h^2
b) I got 2xh+h

I don't know what is wrong, but the answer is incorrect.
Thank you.

Yes, both incorrect.

f(x+h)-f(x)=5-(x+h)^2-5+x^2
= -2xh-h^2

f(x+h)-f(x)/h = above/h=-2x-h
