f(x + h) - f(x)

f(x) = 5 - x^2

f(x + h) = 5 - (x + h)^2

Now we have:

[5 - (x + h)^2] - (5 - x^2)

For (b):

[5 - (x + h)^2] - (5 - x^2) / h

Simplify the above.
