Factor 3x^3 + 9x^2 - 3x - 9

3x^3 + 9x^2 - 3x - 9

3 (x^3 + 3x^2- x - 3)
3 ( x+3x^2) ( -x - 3)
3 {x( 1 + 3x) -1 (x -1)

This is a far I have gotten. Can someone please help me through the rest of the answer?

take out a common factor, then use grouping ...

3x^3 + 9x^2 - 3x - 9
= 3(x^3 + 3x^2 - x - 3)
= 3( x^2(x + 3) - (x + 3)
= 3(x+3)(x^2 - 1)
= 3(x+3)(x-1)(x+1)
Thank you
