f(x)=2\x-1 & g(x)=2x-2\3x+3 find

A:- f+g
B:- fg
C:-domain of (f+g) & fg

1 answer

assuming the usual carelessness with parentheses,
(f+g)(x) = f(x)+g(x) = 2/(x-1) + (2x-2)/(3x+3) = 2(x^2+x+4) / (3(x^2-1))
domain is all reals except x = ±1

now you do (fg)(x) in like wise
