No thats not how it showed up on my quiz
On line, exponents have a ^ in front of them.
ok
Solve 2s^3 − 4r^2 if r = 1 and s = 5.
Solve 2s^3 − 4r^2 if r = 1 and s = 5.
Ahh -- thanks for the correction.
2s^3 − 4r^2
10^3 - 4^2
1,000 - 16 = 984
2s^3 − 4r^2
10^3 - 4^2
1,000 - 16 = 984
thank you so much!!
You are very welcome.
order of operation dictate that you do the exponents first:
2s^3 − 4r^2
= 2(5^3) - 4(1^2)
= 2(125) - 4(1)
= 246
2s^3 − 4r^2
= 2(5^3) - 4(1^2)
= 2(125) - 4(1)
= 246
