Explain why the equation 5|x|-7=7 has only one solution.
1 answer
5|x|-7 = 7
5|x| = 14
|x| = 14/5
Looks like there are two solutions to me...
Now, if it had been 5|x| + 7 = 7 then only x=0 works.
