Explain why some young women would agree to come to the colony of New France as filles du roi.

Some young women would agree to come to the colony of New France as filles du roi to lead better lives, gain some fortunes, and have better homes. They would probably be treated better there. They would get some dowry from the kings if they didn't have any. They could live peacefully and be cared of. They could get married to whom they wanted and live with them. No one could force these girls to get marrid to whomever, they got to pick. It's like getting adopted by a very good family.

It should be "king" since there was only one French king at a time.
