Explain what the Additive Identity Property is and give an example of its use. (2 points)

1 answer

The Additive Identity Property states that when you add 0 to any number, the result will be that number. In other words, the identity element for addition is 0.

For example, if we have the number 5 and we add 0 to it, we get: 5 + 0 = 5. In this case, 0 acts as the additive identity and doesn't affect the value of 5.
