Explain Earth's layers by comparing Earth to a familiar object such as an avocado. How are the layers similar? How are they different?

I don't really get this question...All I know is that they both have different layers consisting of different mix of materials. They have distinct physical properties.

An avocado has three basic layers, the outer skin, the fruit, and the pit or core.
