Evaluate the limit using algebraic techniques.

limit of (x^2 - 25)/(x^2 - 4x - 5) as x approaches 0.

How do I do this?

1 answer

limit of (x^2 - 25)/(x^2 - 4x - 5) , as x --> 0
= lim(x+5)(x-5)/( (x-5)(x+1)
= lim (x+5)/(x+1) , as x ---> 0
= 5/1
= 5
