How would I set up an equation to find the number of balls of wool Erika need to finish the blanket? I know that 5/8 is actually 3/8x. If I do a strip diagram, I will have 8 blocks and 5 of those blocks are crossed out leaving 3 blocks remaining. Each of the blocks will be 2. So 10/3 = 5/3. Then the equation is 3/8x = 5/3 and the answer is 9/40

(3/8)/(5/8) * 10balls = 3/8*8/5 * 10 = 6 more balls.
