In my project on biodiversity, I incorporated math by using statistical methods to analyze species diversity within different ecosystems. Specifically, I calculated the Shannon-Wiener index to quantify the diversity of species in sampled areas. This involved collecting data on the number of individual species present, applying logarithmic functions to assess species richness and evenness, and comparing diversity indices across different habitats. Additionally, I utilized graphs and charts to visually represent my findings, making it easier to interpret variations in biodiversity.
