Reflecting on my experience in the Liberal Arts and Mathematics course, I appreciate the significant academic and personal growth I've undergone. Initially doubtful about combining math and liberal arts, I quickly saw its value. One assignment on inequalities was particularly challenging, but as we applied it to real-life scenarios, I discovered how inequalities simplify complex ideas. This experience encouraged critical thinking and highlighted the broader social implications of inequalities, especially regarding economic and social disparities.
Through examining various inequalities and their applications, I gained a deeper understanding of math as a tool for exploring social issues. My main takeaway is the crucial connection between disciplines and the importance of a well-rounded education. I've learned how liberal arts and mathematics work together to solve complex problems, improving my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I now feel more confident in math and eager to explore its real-world applications. Overall, I'm better equipped to engage with the world, valuing both logical reasoning and creative thought. Thank you, Professor Jonathan!
