The intake pulls fuel into the cylinder. The exhaust stroke lets the gases out. The compression stroke takes the gases from the intake stroke and compresses them. Then the power stroke propels the piston to the other end of the cylinder and pushes the connection rod which is connected to the drive shaft and that is connected to the wheels. Which one does work by the system to the car/truck/whatever?
Would it be power stroke because it uses the gases to propel?
