During snack time at preschool, the teacher divided 3/5 of a gallon of milk evenly between 2 students. how much milk did each student get?

3 answers

(3/5) / 2

(3/5) * (1/2) = 3/10

3/10 of a gallon

That's an awful lot of milk for preschoolers. It's about five times the amount an an older child would drink.
wth
3/10 of a gallon because the quotient for 3/5 divided by 2 is not possble because 5 is a prime number so you turn 2 into a recpriocal which is anumber flipped around and the recpriocal of 2 is 1/2 so 3/5 divided by 1/2 is 3/10 of a gallon. I hope I answered your question. That's alot of milk for kids!

Winese
