Do you agree with the idea that rapid climate change is a catalyst for human evolution? Why or why not?

There is evidence to suggest that climate change has played a role in driving human evolution in the past. For example, the changing climate during the ice ages may have forced early humans to adapt to new environments and develop new survival strategies. However, I would not necessarily say that rapid climate change is a catalyst for human evolution in general. While it can certainly provide selective pressures that drive evolutionary change, there are many other factors that also play a significant role in shaping human evolution, such as social interactions, genetic drift, and random mutations. Climate change may be one part of the puzzle, but it is not the sole driver of human evolution.
