To manage my emotions, I will take deep breaths and count to ten when I feel really mad or sad. I can also talk to my mom or dad about how I'm feeling, so they can help me feel better.

I might need these strategies the most when I get upset because someone didn't let me play a game or when my friends argue on the playground. Those times can be really hard, and I want to stay calm.

If my sibling steals my favorite sweatshirt, I can use an I-statement to help explain how I feel. I would say, "I feel sad when you take my favorite sweatshirt without asking." This way, they can understand my feelings better!
