Did you all hear about how many store locations J.C. Penney's is closing? Is there any way to find out the specific places that are affected, like the cities and states?

On a related note, as brick and mortar retail is on the decline, how would you suggest starting to increase business at malls again?
I wouldn't. The days of big malls are over. We don't have to like it -- but we can't fight "progress." Many people don't even go to the grocery store, but either have groceries delivered, or collected for pick up.
The big malls in some places are dwindling, but in others they are growing. I walk in the mall nearest me, and 3 laps (upstairs and/or downstairs) = about 2 miles. I see stores failing (mostly jewelers and glitzy paper goods) and stores coming in. The two newest stores being built right now are huge!

In my opinion, only stores that have an established brick-and-mortar presence will do well in a mall. Additionally, this also depends on where the mall is located. In a hot and/or humid climate, indoor malls are flourishing!

In a very cold climate (with or without hot humid summers), this indoor mall keeps going just fine!
