Did I properly quote this sentence?

Feldman is the author from my school textbook. I am not sure if I have this part right.

Do I include the authors' name within the brackets() are do I leave out the author name and just put brackets around the year and page number?= Feldman, (2009, pg.321)

I am not sure if I have this part at the end of the sentence right with the Period inside the quotation marks " like this = approach.”

Does the period go inside the quotation or outside of the quotation?

This the complete quotation from my textbook that I am using as part of sentence from my paper in class.

Feldman, (2009, pg.321) states, “In short, applying multiple approaches to motivation in a given situation provides a broader understanding than we might obtain by employing a single approach.”

Scroll down a bit to see the examples. The page number does NOT go in the same place as the year of publication.
