Determine which points are the vertices of a triangle.
a. A(-3,-1), B(0,0), C(3,1)
b. H(-4,2), J(4,-2), K(-12,6)
c. P(2,4), Q(1,1), R(0,-6)
d. W(0,5), X(0,-1), Y(0,-5)
Can someone help me with this because I don't understand where to start?

Any points will form a triangle, EXCEPT when they lie in a straight line.
so for each one, take the slope of 2 segments, if the slope is different , the points will form a triangle
e.g. c)
slope QP=(1-4)/1-2) = 3
slope RQ = (-6-1)/0-1) = 7
slopes are not the same, so the 3 points form a triangle
Do the others the same way.
