how can 3 times as fast as 4mph be 3.5mph? I can't think of a good race scenario that reflects this equation.
Factor out a 4, and we have
4(t+2) = 3(3.5t)
Consider a small box of toys that weighs t pounds.
Medium boxes weigh 2 pounds more, and large boxes weigh 3.5 times as much.
How much does a small box weigh, if 4 medium boxes weigh as much as 3 heavy boxes?
