Dear Mr Sipana,

I am writing to appeal the fail grade I received in my final year course. Due to a 2% drop in my overall score, I ended up with a 48% and failed to meet the minimum passing grade of 50%.
Throughout the semester, I encountered a clash between two classes, BI 335 and EN 481. Please check the attachment of the Time Table below.
This clash resulted in me having to juggle between two important courses, leading to zero attendance and participation marks in BI 335. Although I made an effort to attend the BI 335 class whenever possible, there were instances where I was unable to do so due to the scheduling conflict. I should scored at least 2—3% for attendance and Participation because have clash between two classes.
Furthermore, I did not take biology in my second and third years, which put me at a disadvantage in the course. Despite this challenge, I diligently completed assignments, tests, and practicals to the best of my ability. Unfortunately, I fell short of the 2% required to pass the course due to the conflicting schedules attending both courses at the same time.
I sincerely request your consideration in granting me the additional 2% on attendance and participation in BI 335 or give me an opportunity to do supplementary tests, assignments or exams to make up for the 2% because IT students will leave soon.
It is clearly understand that student can not doing test, assignment, practical and tutorial and Exam. If he or she cannot attend class for whole semester. But I attend class getting information and doing all assessment it required but I really feel down when I get zero for P+A.
The truth is that, class check list was not checked regularly as sometimes I didn't signed during Practical, tutorial and lectures times leads me into confusion because I have clash between two classes. But I should scored at least some percentage on P+A.
Mr Sipana, please I ask your good wisdom, knowledge and understanding requesting with this appeal letter to consider my case and give me a 2% and pass me.
This adjustment would allow me to achieve a 50% pass mark and proceed to Industrial Training as planned.
Thank you for your understanding and support. I hope you can help me in this matter.
Sincerely,

Dear Mr. Sipana,

I am writing to appeal the failing grade I received in my final year course. Due to a 2% drop in my overall score, I ended up with a 48% and failed to meet the minimum passing grade of 50%.

Throughout the semester, I encountered a clash between two classes, BI 335 and EN 481. Please refer to the attached Time Table below. This clash resulted in me having to juggle between two important courses, ultimately leading to zero attendance and participation marks in BI 335. Although I made an effort to attend the BI 335 class whenever possible, there were instances where I was unable to do so due to the scheduling conflict. I should have scored at least 2-3% for attendance and participation, but due to the clash between the two classes, this was not possible.

Furthermore, I did not take biology in my second and third years, which put me at a disadvantage in the course. Despite these challenges, I diligently completed assignments, tests, and practicals to the best of my ability. Unfortunately, I fell short of the 2% required to pass the course due to the conflicting schedules attending both courses at the same time.

I sincerely request your consideration in granting me the additional 2% on attendance and participation in BI 335, or the opportunity to do supplementary tests, assignments, or exams to make up for the 2%. Please understand that as IT students will leave soon, this option may not be feasible. However, I am willing to do whatever it takes to remediate the situation and pass the course.

It is clear that a student cannot pass a course without attending the required tests, assignments, practicals, tutorials, and exams. However, I attended class, gathered information, and completed all assessments despite the challenges I faced.

I understand that the class check list was not checked regularly, and at times I did not sign during practicals, tutorials, and lectures due to the conflicting schedules. This led to confusion, but I believe I should have scored some points for attendance and participation.

Mr. Sipana, I respectfully request your understanding and support in reconsidering my case and awarding me the additional 2% needed to pass the course. This adjustment would allow me to achieve a 50% pass mark and proceed with my plans for Industrial Training.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I truly hope you can help me in this matter.

Sincerely,
