Please check for typos !!
If you used length, width and thickness you probably mean ft^3 not ft^2.

That messed you up big time when you wrote 144 which is square inches per square foot.

What you want is CUBIC feet per CUBIC yard
which is 3^3 = 27 ft^3/yd^3
( despite the fact that contractors simply say "yards" they mean "cubic yards" :)

200 ft^3 * 1 yd^3/27 ft^3 = 7.4 yds^3
