Create an alternate ending to the novel. This ending can be what you hoped would happen, what should have happened, etc. This alternate ending must be a narrative told from Nick’s perspective just like the novel. It should take place after a main event or other turning point in the story. It should provide a logical conclusion to the novel, as a whole. All character speech, actions, feelings, etc. should be kept intact. Like the novel, description of settings, reactions, inner thoughts, and dialogue should all be present. There should also be at least one mention of a symbol from the novel. This should be at least 5 pages long, typed, 12pt. standard font, double spaced.
