The area of the base times a height is the Volume, not the area.
Think of a square on the ground one meter by one meter
its area is 1*1 = 1 square meter.
Now if it has height one meter as well, it is a cube, one meter high, one meter long, one meter wide with volume 1*1*1 = 1 cubic meter. If you stack another on top it is 2 cubic meters
1*1 * 2 = base area of 1 times height 2
etc
could you plz explain how i can easily find the surface area of a triangular prism?
i know the formula but i dont know what it means by area of base times height.
thank you
