Consider the following:
1. Isn't the amino group basic. Adding an acid will form the HCl (hydrochloride) salt?
2. ArNH2 + HCl ==> ArNH3Cl. (I omitted the benzoate part).
3. Wouldn't the NaOH cleave the ester, forming the aminioacid + ethyl alcohol?
