the North-South compromise over the 3/5 counting of slaves for representation purposes. I believe the fact that the north was so willing to go along with this sort of slavery pacifying stance showed a little more of the north's real feelings than they would want us to know.
There was also another important North-South compromise to come from the convention that had nothing to do with slavery. What was it and what was it about?
