definite articles(el, la, los, las) must always agree with the noun. If it is masculine singular(el), if it is masculine plural(los), feminine singular(la), feminine plural(las). If you have a mixed group like your pasajeros above, then it would take a masculine plural definite article. You should be able to get the answers now.
