Compare and Contrast Describe the difference between saying that two segments are congruent and saying that two segments have equal length.

I need help with the below question.

When would you use each phrase?

1 answer

a line segment is a geometric figure. Figures are congruent if all their parts are the same

The length of a segment is just a number. Numbers are equal if they have the same value.

In this case, saying that line segments have equal length is the same as saying they are congruent.
