ClO- + I- → IO- + Cl-

1) What are the names of these ions?

is it "The hypochlorite ion reacts with iodide ion to form iodate ion with chloride ion" ?

2) Write the general rate law (using the letters k for the rate constant, and n and m for the reaction
orders).

- Is it "rate=k[ClO]m[I]n

The IO- is hypoiodite ion. Since you named ClO- correctly, I'm surprised you miss
missed the IO- because that's the same system.

#2 looks ok.
