Mrs. Delacroix selected a stone so large she had to pick it up with both hands and turned to Mrs. Graves. 'Come on,' she said. 'Hurry up.'"

Even though the villagers had changed some traditions and lost the original black box, they still remembered to gather together for a special event. The pile of stones the boys had collected was all set and ready to go; there were stones on the ground mixed in with colorful scraps of paper that had fluttered out of the box. Mrs. Delacroix picked up a big stone and turned to Mrs. Graves with a smile. "Let's go have some fun!" she said cheerfully. "Don't worry, we'll all have a great time together!"
