Roll 2 dice. What is the probaility of rolling and getting:
A) a sum less than or equal to 6
= 15/36=.42
B) sum of greater than or equal to 10
= 6/36=.60
C) difference of less than or equal to 1
= that can't be possible right?
A) You are correct.
B) The possibilities of getting 10 or greater are 5 & 5, 6 & 4, 4 & 6, 6 & 5, 5 & 6 or 6 & 6. As you indicated, that is 6/36 or 1/6. That certainly cannot be .60.
C) 1 & 1 or 1 & 2 will give you a difference of "less than or equal to 1." Find the other combinations that will also fit that category and calculate their probability.
I hope this helps. Thanks for asking.
