Carl has three lengths of cable,5/6 yard long,1/4 yard long,and 2/3 yard long.He needs at least 1 yard of cable.which two pieces together make a length at least
1 yard and closest to 1 yard?

just add them in pairs and see which comes closest to 1 without going under.
Remember 5/6 is almost 1 , so that should give you a hint
