However, when an unexpected injury sidelined her for the entire season, she was faced with a new and daunting challenge.

Sarah had torn a ligament in her knee during a particularly intense practice session, and the doctors informed her that she would need surgery and several months of rehabilitation before she could even think about returning to the field. Devastated by the news, Sarah felt as though her entire world had come crashing down around her.
