I, [Participant Name], hereby acknowledge and agree to the following terms and conditions in consideration of being permitted to participate in the school hiking club activities:
1. Assumption of Risk: I am fully aware of the risks and hazards associated with hiking activities, including but not limited to rough terrain, weather conditions, wildlife encounters, and steep inclines. I understand that these risks cannot be eliminated and I voluntarily choose to participate in the hiking club activities knowing the potential dangers.
2. Release of Liability: I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless the school hiking club, its instructors, leaders, volunteers, and any other participants from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or losses that may arise from my participation in the hiking club activities, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or wrongful death.
3. Indemnification: I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the school hiking club, its instructors, leaders, volunteers, and any other participants from any and all liability, including legal fees, arising from my participation in the hiking club activities.
4. Emergency Medical Treatment: In the event of an emergency, I authorize the school hiking club leaders to seek and provide necessary medical treatment for me. I understand that I will be responsible for any costs associated with such treatment.
5. Acknowledgment of Rules and Regulations: I have read and understood the rules and regulations of the school hiking club, and I agree to comply with them at all times during the hiking activities.
6. Photographic Release: I hereby grant permission to the school hiking club to use any photographs, videos, or other media of me taken during the hiking activities for promotional or educational purposes.

7. Transportation and Attendance: I understand that I am responsible for providing my own transportation to and from the hiking club meeting point or trailhead. The school hiking club is not responsible for arranging or providing transportation for participants. I also acknowledge that failure to show up for a scheduled hiking activity without prior notice may result in exclusion from future club events. The school hiking club is not accountable for any persons who choose not to show up for scheduled activities and will not be held liable for any consequences resulting from their absence.
