No matter what topic is being discussed, the first thing that people look for is the positve benefits.These benefits provide humans with a sense or relief because they know that those benefits could be helpful to them in the long run. Those negative benefits could cause humans undesirous amounts of distress, so positve benefits are a plus.

Hmmm. So when we discuss HIV infection, we are looking for positive benefits? That is what your paragraph says.
