Can you please let me know if I solved the following equation correctly?

1 + 5(n-8) = 2 - (n +5)

1 + 5n - 40 = 2 - n - 5

-39 + 5n = -3 - n

6n = 36

n = 6

but check as follows

1 + 5 (6-8) = 2 - (6+5) ????

1 - 10 = 2 - 11 ???

-9 = - 9 Yes :)
