Can You help me simplify

4(3x+2)−2

4 answers

4(3x+2) is the same as 4*3x+4*2 which becomes 12x+8. Now we subtract 2 from that and we get 12x+6. This is what's known as the distributive property. Hope that makes sense.

You are welcome. Algebra can be tricky at first, but it'll come easy soon enough. Anything else you'd like me to explain?
