CAN SOMEONE PLZ HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A species of bird has slight variations in its beak size and shape. Some individuals with bigger beaks are better at cracking seeds. Some individuals with narrower beaks are better at hunting for bugs. An invasive species is introduced that hunts all of the bug population, wiping out that food source for the birds, so all they are left with is seeds.
In one to two sentences, explain how genetic variation from sexual reproduction can save this species from extinction.

Do you know that answer?????? What was it๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ฉ I'm so sad rn please help me I need that answer
Here
The ones with small beaks can eat the bugs and eat the small seeds while the birds with big beaks eat the big seeds.
The ones with small beaks can eat the bugs and eat the small seeds while the birds with big beaks eat the big seeds.
The birds with a big beak can crack seeds to eat and will not have a problem trying to open food. Birds with a smaller beak will not be able to break big seeds. Smaller birds can break small seeds with their small beak, unlike big birds.
All of these are incorrect, The question is asking " In one to two sentences, explain how genetic variation from sexual reproduction can save this species from extinction. "
shut up grande, if ur so smart answer it urself or else dont criticize or else.......... SLAP
Idk if this is right but here
Any species can adapt to new places/new environments because of variation. Which gives them a survival advantage. To go out on their own when they are at age to do so.
sorry if its not right that is for question 12

"if ur so smart answer it urself ๐ต๐ฅด๐คช๐ค" At least they're calling out people who are too dumb to read, you're over here being a fool, Rick and "im nia your dead" are the people closest to the correct answer, some of the others are literally saying that the big birds can eat big bugs and the small birds can eat small bugs, when the question literally says the bug population was wiped out where the birds resided-
So maybe get a brain and AnSwEr iT yoUrSelF, since you're so smart (doubt you are) to yell at someone calling out on other people's dumbness
I dont care if I'm 8 months late.

Here are the answers to the U7L8 Reproductive Strategies Unit Test
1. vegetative reproduction
2. The lack of genetic diversity could mean that all of the hydras die, depending on the situation.
3. rapid reproduction through binary fission
4. resistant to
5. two
6. asexually.
7. replicates
8. Sexual reproduction involves parental care, while asexual reproduction does not.
9. The trait is recessive, and the child inherited a recessive allele from each parent.
10. Genetic variation from sexual reproduction ensures that at least some individuals will have advantageous traits that help them survive.
Here is what i wrote for 11 and 12
11.Asexual
1. Asexual reproduction requires only one parent.
2. Asexual reproduction produces offspring using other
means.
3. When reproducing asexually the offspring has only one
parent who contributes genetic information. This means the offspring is
identical to its parent.
Sexual
1. Sexual reproduction requires two parents.
2. In sexual
reproduction gametes (egg or sperm cells) from two parents join.
3. When producing
sexually both parents contribute to the offspringโs genetic information. This
makes the offspring different from each other and from their parents.
12.Genetically combining both birds can possibly save the narrowed beak bird from extinction. Combining both birds will help them adapt to their new environment and gives them a survival advantage.
I'm not sure if I'm right on 11 and 12 the teacher hasn't graded my test yet
