Can someone please condense this expression. I do not know how.

1/2ln(x^2+1)-4ln1/2-1/2[ln(x-4)+lnx]

1 answer

= (1/2) [ln(x^2+1) - ln((x-4)/x) ] - 4(ln1 - ln2)
= (1/2)ln [ x(x^2+1)/(x-4) ] - 4(0 - ln2)
= ln √ [x(x^2+1)/(x-4)] + ln 16
= ln [16√ [x(x^2+1)/(x-4)]]
