Can someone give me the steps for this problem?
In a school 50% of the students are younger than 10, 1/20 are 10 years old and 1/10 are older than 10 but younger than 12, the remaining 70 students are 12 years or older. How many students are 10 years old?
I'm not really good at this.. So any help will be thankful.

Not hard. Just read through what they have told you.
Suppose there are x students in all. Adding up all the fractions given, you have
x/2 + x/20 + x/10 + 70 = x
Now, 1/2 + 1/20 + 1/10 = 13/20
So, that means
13/20 x + 70 = x
70 = 7/20 x
x = 200
So, knowing that there are 200 students, you can now figure how many are 10 years old, right?
