Can someone explain this inequality equation to me please? I'm so confused. Here's what I have so far.

|2x – 1| + 10 ≥ 5
|2x – 1| + 10-10 ≥ 5-10
|2x – 1|≥-5
2x-1≥5, 2x-1≤-5
2x-1+1≥5+1, 2x-1+1≤-5+1
2x≥6, 2x≤-4
2x/2≥6/2, 2x/2≤-4/2
x≥3, x≤-2

1 answer

|2x–1| ≥ -5

is clearly true for all x, since |x| is always positive.
