Can someone direct me to where I can get an analysis of "Son" by John Updike-I have searched everywhere and I'm totally confused on this short story

What kind of analysis do you want? Are you analyzing literary devices? Characterization? Motivations?

After reading the short story, we have to write a son's perspective in today's world and a father's perspective in today's world about their relationship- it's a little hard when I'm confused about what the short story is really about and I'm a girl so it's difficult to imagine this relationship at all. So I thought if I had some insight into this, it would help-I can't even find a website that analyzes this
