Can anyone help me with my homework its called Solving Systems by elimination... i was able to do a few but there they are

Q1:{7x-2y=37}
{4x+y=19}

Q2:{3x+8y=-5}
{-2x+2y=18}

Q3:{x-3y=7}
{2x-6y=12}

Q4:{2x+y=-2}}
{5x+3y=-8}

Q5:{2x+5y=14}
{4x+2y=-4}

3 answers

multiply one (or both) equation(s)
... to get the coefficients of one variable to match

then subtract the equations to eliminate the variable

{7x-2y=37}
{4x+y=19}
multiplying the 2nd equation by -2 ... -8x - 2y = - 38
subtracting equations (to eliminate y) ... 7x - -8x = 37 - -38 ... 15x = 75

solve for x , then substitute back to find y
Thank you!
do you happen to know what the rest are?
