calculate the mass of solid which would be precipitated when 35g of carbon(IV)oxide are passed through a solution of calcium hydroxide

2 answers

-monoxide or -dioxide ?
I think carbon(IV) oxide must be carbon dioxide.

CO2 + Ca(OH)2 ==> CaCO3(s) + H2O

mols CO2 = grams/molar mass = ?
1 mol CO2 = 1 mol CaCO3
grams CaCO3 = mols CaCO3 x molar mass CaCO3 = ?
