You must finish the problem.
i came up with the answer of 419 g
Th solution has a density of 1.049g/mL and only 40% of the solution is acetic acid
At normal temperature and pressure, air has
a density of 0.001184 g/mL. What is the mass
of air in a room that is 3.74 m by 3.45 m by
3.93 m?
Answer in units of kg.
For the acetic acid problem I don't think the answer is 419 g. You can check it if you wish.
419 g/440 mL
440 mL with a density of 1.049 g/mL = mass of 440 x 1.049 = 461.6 grams and
(419/461.6)*100 = 90.7%; that isn't 40% so it must not be right.
For the air problem, I would convert each of the length, width, height in meters to cm, multiply to obtain volume in cc, then multiply by density to obtain grams air. Convert to kg.
