( c ) A metal cuboid is melted down so that prisms as described in

Part (b) can be made.
The cuboid measures 2 metres by 1.2 meters by 0.8 meters.

( i ) Calculate the volume of the cuboid in cubic meters.
( 2 )

( ii ) Calculate the volume of the cuboid in cubic centimetres.

1 answer

(i)
Volume of the cuboid = length x width x height
Volume = 2m x 1.2m x 0.8m
Volume = 1.92 cubic meters

(ii)
1 cubic meter = 1,000,000 cubic centimeters
Volume in cubic centimeters = 1.92 cubic meters x 1,000,000 cubic centimeters
Volume = 1,920,000 cubic centimeters
