In the process of plant fertilization, the anther, a part of the flower's stamen, produces pollen grains. These pollen grains are then transferred to the stigma, which is part of the pistil. The stigma has a sticky surface that helps to catch and hold the pollen. From there, the pollen travels down the pistil's style, a long tube, until it reaches the ovary. Inside the ovary, the pollen fertilizes the ovules, leading to the development of seeds.
