I think the architect chose a pyramid shape for the Louvre Museum because it looks really cool. If I had to design the building as a prism, I would make it like a rectangular box because it seems easier to build. Changing the shape might make it harder to build the Louvre Museum because it's so big. It might also make the inside space smaller because there would be less volume with a prism shape.
